Malangen Resort overlooks the Malangenfjord and is close enough to Tromsø to be easily accessible, yet far enough away to offer a welcome cosy retreat.
At Malangen you will find a variety of accommodation options, all to a very high standard and with magnificent views directly across the glistening Malangenfjord to distant snow-covered mountains. This holiday is perfect for those who need a touch of remote escapism without compromising on style or comfort.
Arrive Tromsø Airport by air from the UK. Collect your hire car from the airport and enjoy a picturesque drive through beautiful Arctic scenery to Malangen (duration approximately 50 minutes). There is no grocery shop directly at the resort, therefore those staying in apartment or cabin accommodation may purchase provisions from one of the local supermarkets en route. On arrival check-in to your accommodation and relax for the remainder of the evening.

We know you will have questions about this holiday and we hope we have managed to answer a few of them with the following information. But if we haven't please just let us know - we'll find the answer for you and then add it to our list.
Who is this holiday suitable for?
Due to the various options for spacious accommodation offering activities directly from the resort, this holiday is ideal for families or friends travelling together.
What sort of clothing will I need?
We would strongly recommend the layering principal (base, mid, outer) with man-made thermal fibres or wool. In our opinion wool is definitely best, and merino wool is soft and cosy and certainly a good investment. A good, waterproof outdoor jacket is essential, and also over trousers are a bonus if you have them. Wool socks (we wouldn't wear anything else here), perhaps a couple of pairs, and good hiking boots or snow boots are very important. Gloves, scarf, hat and you're raring to go!
