Trondheim, Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger – cities which all have their own distinct personality and style. In each you will find that ancient sits alongside modern – with history meeting the present, comfortably and almost seamlessly.

Trondheim, Norway’s former ancient capital and Oslo, her vibrant and modern one; the Døvre Line and Bergen Line great journeys by train; the famous Flåm Mountain Railway with its numerous twists and turns as it descends the mountain to the fjord; the magnificent Aurlandsfjord and the narrow Nærøyfjord, breathtaking in their beauty; Bergen, Norway’s second city with a beautiful Hanseatic harbour which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and finally Stavanger, perhaps the city with the most contrasts – all the way from herring to oil – and the starting point for day trips to view the famous ‘Pulpit Rock’ (Preikestolen) either by boat or on foot.
